There are a number of reminders of the 6 day war on the Israeli side of the Golan heights including the abandoned and repainted tank turret above, an abandoned Syrian military base and a destroyed mosque.

There is also Nimrod Castle, a spectacular 13th century fortification that once guarded the road to Damascus.
