Day 23 - San Antonio

The Alamo

We started the morning visiting the Alamo (Mission San Antonio de Valero) the site of the pivotal battle in the Texas Revolution. It has been really nicely (if not particularly faithfully) restored, and has very nice gardens around it.

We then walked to San Antonio’s Riverwalk which is a series of walkways around the San Antonio river and its canals.

We then left the Riverwalk to have lunch in the King William District. We then walked down King William St towards the Blue Star development, seeing some very nice houses built in a very European style on the way.

At Blue Star we turned back around and walked back up the river to visit the Main Plaza and the San Fernando Cathedral.
